What are you playing to pass your time till Conan launches? Also what are you reading to pass the oh so slow time?
I myself have been playing various trials for MMO's seeing if there is anything that can tide me over till march. I am leaning toward Tabula Rasa as a possible outlet. It is a simple game but it might hold me over till march.
I myself am also reading Conan books so if rp is fun in Conan (unlike most MMO's that have been released as of late) I will know what I am saying. That and I am trying to develop a new personality for my characters. Most of them end up like Jaminos. It is high time I developed someone a little more human. _________________

I'm playing Mass Effect almost exclusively, and I think that could get me to Age of Conan. I've got over 40 hours clocked on it since it came out on the 20th (spread across several characters, took me a bit of time to figure out which class I wanted to go with), and while I'm not done, I can't wait to play through it again as a Soldier.
Book wise, let's see...I've been re-reading Starship Troopers, The Last Wish, and I might finish up the Lord of the Rings trilogy again (I picked up the first one when I was bored, but I'm not sure I want to go through all three again). A bit of Dune on the side, but I try not to get too into - I have this tendency to get completely engrossed in it, and then I'm a bit disappointed when I finish it, so I approach it with caution.
I'm not overly concerned about RPing my character in Age of Conan. I'm planning for him to turn out very similar to Nyvveck, but with some major differences. A Stygian Herald of Xotli, soft spoken and aristocratic, with a more implied menace than an overt one. All my characters usually end up that way, so I figured I'd just go with the flow from the start with this one. _________________ Were I in your shoes, I would spend my last earthly hours enjoying the world. How is mass effect? I have it on my gamefly list but it is backed up till who knows when. It looks really good. Is it a true rpg where you can choose the fate of your character? _________________

I could go on for pages about Mass Effect. It is damn good, I'll say that. The combat is fun, but the focus is most obviously on the storytelling. There's a lot to do, and a lot of choices to make, most of which cannot be boiled down to the normal good/bad. I'd definitely call it BioWare's best game since BG2, I was not too impressed with NWN, Jade Empire, or Knights of the Old Republic, but Mass Effect is amazing. _________________ Were I in your shoes, I would spend my last earthly hours enjoying the world. I've been playing Assassin's Creed, with some occasional Halo 3. Reading the Republic Commando books. _________________ ''Don't be mad at me because you just fell for the old Wookiee prisoner gag.'' -Sawyer - Lost

They compare it to Fable, as well. I didn't like Fable much, myself. Any idea how close it is to that? I'm considering that one for after I finish AC. _________________ ''Don't be mad at me because you just fell for the old Wookiee prisoner gag.'' -Sawyer - Lost

I was very, very disappointed in Fable. Mass Effect is much better. In all honesty, it is closest to BG2. _________________ Were I in your shoes, I would spend my last earthly hours enjoying the world. Fable sucked some major bullocks. I remember getting really excited about it and after two hours of play I had a halo above my head and a big sword and nothing mattered.
I know I am kinda turning this into a Q&A about Mass Effect but I was wondering can you choose what kind of relationship your character gets into like in Kotor where you can Have Bastilla or Cat woman. It is alway a nice touch in my opinion. _________________

By relationship, do you mean romances?
If so, for a male character (and female, I believe...Zo will have to inform me when he plays through it as a female) that there are two romances - one with a human (one of your Marine buddies, depending on your gender), and one with the mono-gendered Asari. _________________ Were I in your shoes, I would spend my last earthly hours enjoying the world.
