"Only illegal immigrants, criminals and terrorists need consular cards for identification. Those legally in the country would have other identification. Anyone using a consular card should be assumed to be illegally in the country and arrested, not coddled." - Elton Gallegly
Often times in RP, you will find yourself asked for identification. Usually, the person asking you will be a member of the Imperial Military, whether it be a trooper or an officer. Other times, a member of a local security force may ask for it.
In either case, they are asking for your IMPERIAL IDENTIFICATION CARD. This is very much like today's Drivers' Licenses, with much of the same information.
Where do you get ID?
Nowhere, really. It's up to you whether or not your character carries ID. However, a citizen of the Empire will most likely have their ID, and a criminal will have some sort of fake ID.
What do you do when asked for ID?
To comply, you may simply type "/emote hands over ID". If there is anything wrong with this ID that you would like the examiner to find, send them a tell to inform them of what that is.
If you do not wish to comply because your character is stubborn, or they simply don't have ID, please play accordingly. Realize that not carrying ID in wartime can result in very dire consequences. And chances are that the person that's asking you for ID has a lot more backup than you do. _________________ I like my coffee like I like my women. Ground up and in the freezer.
