Mission 2: Investigate the Medical Center (Completed)

Last night Rinna and Nurian completed their investigation. They made contact with one of the medical professors on Corellia who was a part of the developement team for the nano-probes before they were taken and used for replication.

Among other things, the location of the replicant manufacturing center was handed over on a datapad. Now that all the information is in place, I will be posting mission 3 shortly. Please feel free to share info or ask questions in this thread.

Transcript from the interview of Professor Grier Lucivious by Rinna, Nurian, and trusty bodyguard Xoud.

“We see many sick here, and many leave with life changing injuries. The most untreatable being damage to the brain. We created a set of nanoprobes. And during experimentation we realized they could be used to repair brain damage, but they also could do just about anything to the sentient mind. Including control one's thoughts.”

“This was around the time the Rebels mounted an invasion of Corellia. Coronet was captured. I remember is distinctly because an Imperial commander from Lok was captured and tried by the Rebels for war crimes.”

Rinna Bekki says, “Do you recall the name, by any chance?”

Grier Lucivious says, “Warrant Officer Adaks, I believe.”

Rinna Bekki whispers, “Warrant Officer...Jabe, or Coiyonite?”

Grier Lucivious says, “I don't remember a Coiyonite. I am certain it was Jabe.”

“The Rebels came and locked down the hospital. The school was also locked down. When the Rebels discovered the project it was immediately militarized. They wanted to use it on high ranking Imperial officials.”

“We objected.”

“An unknown officer for the Rebel alliance came and took over the project. They wanted to refine the probes and link them to something called a hive. My children tried to stop this. It was at this time most of the hospital was destroyed. And they both disappeared.”

Nurian Avari says, “How long ago was this?”

Grier Lucivious says, “About 3 months ago.”

“CorSec investigated. I got fewer answer as time went by. CorSec has closed the case saying there are no leads. However, my children’s' bodies were found just outside a large manufacturing center.”

“I have investigated it on my own as much as possible. I have found that the nanoprobes as well as some new delivery systems are in mass production. I think it might be a bit late.”

“Whatever they're doing to people.. they're about to do on a larger scale than ever conceived. I retrieved a schematic of their new delivery system. Within two weeks a new airborne delivery system will be introduced. Whoever controls it, controls everything. The probes float as dust and are inhaled straight to the brain center.”

“I don't know what’s going on anymore... I will tell you this. I am interested in this Adaks character. He was tried by the Rebels for war crimes but then cleared. Nym had something to do with it, stating he joined the Empire under mind control called replication. Apparently this man served the Empire entirely because of a related technology. He would be an interesting study.”

“Not that I entirely trust anyone. At this point I have nothing to lose... I hope you all are genuine in your efforts. I am heard that intruders to that facility are subject to the mind control power they possess. Going there is a serious risk.”

Rinna Bekki says, "How so? Do they have this airborne delivery system already in place there?"

“I don't know. I can only imagine that the latest tools at their disposal are certainly in service there. This is about all I know. I don't want to see my life's work used so perversely. Take the data with you.

“If you are planning on doing something, be certain you are well armed. I can only imagine you will only get one shot. Just don't do anything foolish. If you need anything I will be here the rest of my days. However long that will be.”

“I know too much and now so do you, so be careful. I would not come back to Corellia until you have a plan.”

Grier Lucivious resumes his work.
