I HATED Haloid. And.... SPOILER!!!! DO NOT READ IF YOU LIKE SURPRISES!!!
Just Highlight it 
Master Chief doesn't die. Finishing the Legendary setting gives an extra cutscene after the credits, where he puts himself into a cryogenic sleep.

I wouldn't call it a parody, as it doesn't actually poke fun at the game itself (beyond a joke or two). It's machinima. Halo is just the medium.
Speakin' of which, I've gotta post somethin' similar that 2bit sent me.

Alright let it be known to all that I did like Halo 3. I played it, I enjoyed it, I loved it. My only complaint is they needed to make the story a little longer and they needed a more...end to it. I made sure to get to see the full ending and I have to say I am ready for another Halo game weather or not the flood and covenant are in it.
If it is just the MC fighting spartans and has become evil for some reason I will play it. This well did redeem Halo 2 and it's hardness on the eyeballs.
