If you take public hostile action towards MERCS in Nocturnus

Ok let me shed a little light for all parties.

DStar is a backup guild for NRC. Novall you know this because I discussed it with you. They fully know the rules od RPvp and RP.

Last night I was in the guild hall. Guilding a few new members. When I came out and was headed to the Angel. I go to the Angel and was confrunted by several Mercs. One in particular was very rude (Rebecca)started talking slang to me and this that and the other. At that point I sent out a broadcom on noc chat that stated we were in need os backup. I recieved the a comm stating that Dstar was on the way. By that time the Mercs had went down to the Temple. I then heard a cry grom Giza stating she needed medical attention...The Mercs then boarded the shuttle and left. While waiting there my squade showed up. Then a few min later several Mercs stepped off the shuttle and started giving us crap again. (probaby about my comments of roaches and bullies)(hehe) anyway at that time several of my squad started to talk back and informed then that they would not premit that talking to us like that...There was a fight that broke out ... (due to a bad storm in the area my comp shut off) when I logged back in the fight had stopped and I was informed what had transpired. Apparenlty two Mercs were taken into custaty and were being escorted back to the NRC jail when 6 Mercs stepped off the shuttle. The fight broke out again and the prisoners escaped and everyone retreated.

A few min later after I logged back in everyone was back in the NRC guild Hall. I was told to come meet them there and get out tof the city because they were sure to come back. I meet with the leader of Dstar who was at the first attack and they would not stand for the travisty that just had transpired. I then stayed around for a while. After I logged is when the Mercs came back again and Dstar was in the cantina.

When I logged on this morning I heard it from both sides. From what I understand a second fight broke out when the Mercs came back and Gurgean fired first. They captured 2 Mercs. They also told me that Adunaphel was there but when Gurg started he logged off and logged on to his alt to avoid the situation. I also spoke to Gurg who told me the same thing.

I hope this sheds some light on things. I have asked the leader of Dstar to come on here and add there side as well. Just to clarify what happened.

I know it would probably never happen, but a placeholder guild would be nice to have. Grab five unguilded people (the minimum needed for a guild), and make an RPvP guild for all the unguilded people out there.

The guild would have no affiliations, no events, nothing. It would just be a place for the unguilded to be able to get in on the immersion war. If someone chose to leave for an actual guild, then so be it.

I don't know what happened, but I'm going to lean toward it being a misunderstanding of sorts.

I also think it would have been kinda cool for our backup not to show up almost right away. Aside from the fact that we were on another friggin' planet, taking our time would have given the small opposing strike force the time to do their thing and capture a few of our guys.

I had a thought before this thread started with regards to the immersion war and solo/unaffiliated members within the GC community. would anyone else be interested in taking part in a guild that solely exists to allow roleplayers that are not otherwise guild affiliated to participate in the immersion war. I had thought of this myself because I have
a character I was hoping to use in a new way that would not have a guild affiliation in the GC community that would make sense but would like to participate in the immersion. If I could get this started I would like to establish "war relations" with -AR-, AVANT, MERCS, NRC,TEMPL, & TTF. The guild, let's call it Noct, would only add folks that are established community members to avoid exploitation of the process.

If there are other folks interested in such a thing please let me know and I can get it up
in the next day or two if leaders from the aforementioned guilds (-AR-, AVANT, MERCS, NRC, TEMPL, and TTF) are willing to declare immersive war on Noct.

Without going into the entire story, the basics are these:

- Yes, we were DB'd by dStar. Twice
- No, not all the MERCS were expecting group PvP
- I don't know all the backstory of what led up to this, but Sharn just seemed to be another RPer there, working with dStar.
- One of the dStar jedi made the comment "I want to fight a Mandalorian!" - which I think makes their "intent" clear
- I was one of those ganked off the shuttle prior to the whole dStar thing, and I actually enjoyed it - it was well done, incap only, and well RP'd.

Guess I just like having a point to the fighting - I don't care if I lose every now and then, as long as it advances the story... and as long as it's not that often. sly wink

I only consider it ganking if it's a needless DB. If there's RP backing it up, I wouldn't care if the entire community gunned me down at once.

However, attacking someone who's loading into the shuttleport is still cheap in my mind.

Darec, I hate to put a guild member under the interrogation lamp, but... You say that you were all DBed twice. Might I ask why there was a second time? As much as I dislike needless DBs, once you're DBed, you're out of the action.

Soooo... since I'm in a guild that I am dedicated to OOC, I'm not allowed to RP anymore in this arc?

That's exactly what it sounds like to me, but I would prefer clarification.

I thought that we had agreed that the shuttleports were offlimits to PVP...that one could not shoot from the shttleport, nor into the shuttleport. This was partly to prevent exploitation and partly to prevent accidentally shooting someone who just happened to be arriving home.

Several of us have noticed that a very few of the community members do not seem to understand that DB means badly wounded...not a free pass to come back into the fight. We are talking with people who pull this free pass, and if they do it again, we will notify guild leaders.

As for so called "ganking"...in a war, using superior numbers is an accepted tactic. Live with it.

A holding guild sounds like a good idea.

I, myself, would appreciate being told if any of my people are continued abusers of the guidelines.

Well, just to let you know NRC planned the attack last night in RP char just so we can move this arc along ...

I feel that the small militia's that took place last night were also a way to move it along as well consedering that all parties were there in the begining of the confilict. So if they planed to attack on there own due to the conflict earlier in the night then they should feel free and that is a good thing....everything is moving along nicely...I am just sorry that it always come's to our community arguing but you can not please everyone... frown

I just wish there were more captures would have made it more interesting being evil

I also vote for a non affiliated guild but only for those that have been involved in the RP with our community for awhile.

Zyre please do not forget the Lost city and Dstar now that they are all in up to there eyeballs... hehe
