At a guess, they are Imperial, not by luck of the draw, but by choice to have more people to practice against. If I wanted to be a top notch PvPer, I would choose the side which had the fewer players. _________________ "It is. Deal with it." |

To clarify things at least for myself, from the horse's mouth:
OOC I'm hardline Imperial, never was anything else, never will be anything else. I care greatly for the imperial community out there. That is for the community outside of this one.
IC I don't care about anything else but the clan, which has the top priority. True, I hate rebellion but that won't stop me from taking actions against RP Imperials within RP. IC behavior has it's roots in the problems of preCU and more CU era of the game and real (ingame) state of the Empire then.
So you could say I'm segregating RP imps and antiRP imps
So Sharn, from your position only one thing is certain. I hate rebellion from the depth of my guts.
From Nyvveck's position: (if) he knows I hate rebellion, but that should not (and I know it doesn't) make him consider me a friend.
From Rebecca's point of view: I'm an ally and won't betray her ever.
At the end of the day I go where the clan decides to go.
And that doesn't stand for all MERCS. Others have different motivations for their behavior and even faction choosing (be it Rebel or Imperial). It may be the clan's temporary orientation, credits, personal feelings etc. The thing in common for us all is, "Clan is us".
And I hope the arc does continue.

If they want to PvP, they have to pick a faction. I believe it was luck of the draw that made them pick the Empire. I can assure you that if they had choosen the Rebellion faction, I would not consider them rebels (and their players would RP the same as they do now).
The fact that someone is in the Imperial Faction of the game has no influence on RP at all. MERCS, if paid enough money, would gladly gun anyone down. |

yeah but nyvv. i would know that. you would know that. the average kiddo running around just jumping into the rp for the first time in nocturnus wouldnt know that. just pointing out a factor of why people think novall and his guys (and girl) are imperial _________________

To add a fun and effective example...
Iago started as an Imperial smuggler. His profession has changed quite a bit...but his faction hasn't changed, until very recently. Does anyone, in the slightest, think of him as having a faction preference? No, Iago. But the only time I pay any attention to faction is when I'm in Restuss. I do sometimes notice that the icon over someone's head has changed, but only if it has disrupted the pattern I associate with them. _________________ "It is. Deal with it." |

So...like...if I was a rebel? _________________ Were I in your shoes, I would spend my last earthly hours enjoying the world. Of course, if you wish you can spend them fighting for a lost cause. But I think that you know, you've already lost. |

Rebel, Imperial, Nice way to put it.
Everybody knows mercenaries only work for the highest bider. Their only true loyalty is to the highest bidder, no matter who they are, and only until it becomes to costly for them to continue. Then they look for a way out.
Hmm Now as for Iago, Think thats bad, Iari has changed factions a total of 7 times since the day of creation in March of this year.
Nyvv, Do it, come over to the party side, We have Cookies !!! _________________

I would probably respond by reporting that your account has been hacked. |

Salocin, I would notice you were a rebel only if your roleplay changed. Bald no beard Man is my identifier for Nyvveck, and I look at him...not over his head.
Of course, if your roleplay changed, I would join Rinna in the shocky ward with all my nerve endings burned out...as if I were struck by lightning. _________________ "It is. Deal with it." |

i think i would slam my head into my keyboard if nyv ever changed sides, then i would go up into space and cry for a couple hours, then come back down and kill him. *nods*
I realy don't care about faction, as long as thay put away there weapons and are well behaved, I could care less...unless thay had a bounty or had a warrent out for them, but thats another story _________________ there is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt
