For me, I guess I take the simplistic view of, "If its a cloner, then it clones". If it was called a "Bacta Healing Tank" or something I would say it heals.
There is really no right way to look at it, it could easily play either way. I'll roll with whatever the community decides

Buuuuutttt....
Trying to see both sides, If I remember correctly, when the game first started out. You also lost any skills gained since you last stored your clone. RP wise, there could be massive memory loss.
But people tend to not RP that when they clone. They even remember things up until the moment of whatever you choose to think of it as, death and cloning or serious injury.
BBBUUUTTTT.... *blink*
Um, where was I?
Oh yeah. Anyone refusing to become a replicant will be druged and placed at the base of Mount Chaolt. Soon after, an atomic bomb will be lowered into the mouth of the volcano and detonated killing you all. There after, you will wander around as immortal blue glowies making people sad. |

I missed out on getting a blue glowy, and frankly, that pisses me off still. Thanks for thumbing me in the eye! _________________ "anyone up for RP?"

...Incident II? Shouldn't it be a Hydrogen Bomb?
But I feel I should post on topic as well...
As has been said, I think that it cannot be considered "cloning" for RP reasons. If whenever anyone dies, they simply clone, then there is no point to RP.
When I think of the person being "cleansed", I take it as them getting reconstructive surgery so great that hardly any of the original person is still around (cloning on the small scale, such as organs/skin tissue, I feel would be common practice). _________________ Were I in your shoes, I would spend my last earthly hours enjoying the world. Of course, if you wish you can spend them fighting for a lost cause. But I think that you know, you've already lost. |

I dunno, I'm kinda torn about it. I mean what everyone is saying makes sense from a point of view, but I see little difference.
We can either clone everytime we get killed (which the technology exists), or we can get ...um.....reconstructive surgery everytime? I mean reconstructive surgery makes sense, but for as often as some of us get DB'd it makes even less sense and seems even less realistic.
In short, I don't know what the answer is but I would tend to believe cloning over surgery. Perhaps a mix and match of the two would suffice? _________________ Forum guarded by Blast Cannons three days a week. Guess which days.

I think that the main question here is about the dying cloning issue. For example ...... at the moment supposedly the only way for someone to know the other is not a replicant is to kill him. Ok, so far so good, but the problem is that when that person asks you if he could kill you to cleanse you you are in your right to say HELL NO!!. Why?? simply because it would mean to die. None of our characters would like to die. It is a painful experience that may leave several brain damage (ok maybe not the brain damage but its not pleasant) you have to sufer a beating first that will lead you to your death and none of us (unless we are into S&M) would like to get beaten so bad that we actually die from it.
My point is ..... if you ask me ........ would you let me kill you to prove you are not a replicant? then ill say HELL NO!!! cause it hurts. A replicant would have the right to say the same. So saying no will make me a suspect of being a replicant?? HELL NO!!! i just dont want to die!!!
Just my 2 cents.

I think everytime you clone you should start acting a little more mentally unstable, so after so many clonings you end up like Jabe _________________
