Alrighty, gang, just like Chop Suey....

Jabe, I'm loving this arc even if I'm only participating actively only a little. It has given the community something to work on together.

What we know (OOC):

1. Replicants are preparing for something and we're all targets. (We also know their having supply issues and looking for 'The strongest voice'?)

2. There seems to be data available that suggests exactly how a Replicant is made. (Wafers)

3. Some not well known info seems to be that there were some scientists abducted that probably had a technical hand in the creation of the new Replicants (I'm just guessing on this one). Their work involved nano-tech that repaired the brain (Wafers and hearing the hive anyone?).

4. All organizations from Temple to the NRC to wandering Jedi and Imperial Forces are at risk. (Thus far it seems to be a community vs. invisible non player threat. The only marked Replicants we've really had so far were Jabe and Isleh. Fierith is in custody.)

5. A way of detecting Replicants seems to be causing the most paranoia for us. I think if we can get some more story pushed forward so we can get some of the paranoia out of the way that would help here. (Only you know ooc if your a replicant or not)

Solution:

Maybe we need an old fashioned sign up sheet? I vaguely remember Jabe doing something like this on Tales for the first story arc.

IC

Here's what Serek knows (or thinks he knows)

- Replicants are cause by people cloning through contaminated cloners. The small wafers containing the nano-technology cause this contamination

- Sending a replicant through an uncontaminated cloner (or "Cleansing"), kills the replicant and frees the host

- *New Info* Serek travelled most of the galaxy searching cloners for the wafers...he found nothing. It would seem that the replicants have stopped or at least paused the propogation of more replicants (As per Jabe).

Serek believe this could be a break, since we can now concentrate of identification and "Cleansing" if need be, without worrying about more being made....or its the End Game, and the replicants already have the numbers they need.

Serek sent a message to Rinna and Nurian trying to understand why they fled the city, when they were going to help him with his plan. He then sent a message to some of the key players of the community, in hopes of informing everyone of the facts, and trying rally people together for what may very well be a showdown against the replicants.

Serek is still pretty fed up with the replicant issue and many of the people involved. The Inquisitor Nyvveck has now drawn a line in the sand, branding Shensen and Serek as replicants after they were tested and cleared by another Inquisitor. Despite his personal feelings about the replicants, he will viciously protect his friends. The Replicants are direct threats, and the Inquisitor had added himself to that list as well.

Tsarg has only heard rumors that there are some people that have been replaced by other people who serve someone else. About the process he only knows that it has something to do with corrupt bacta tanks so he is more afraid than ever to go into one.

Due to all the issues that are being taking palce in Nocturnus at the moment (which is where he lives) he is looking forward to a meeting with Cymrych Blade and formally ask him to join the ranks of the NRC and investigate into these events further.

IC:

Caelen is supposedly helping to head up the replicant investigation for NRC. I'm not sure of the status on that now since Caelen hasn't been in on it much.

He believes that replicants are made when a person is sent to a cloner. Whether it be by some sort of contamination in the cloning tank or a more direct intervention, he doesn't know.

Col Bacca was called away to help with the Battle for Restuss. Upon returning to Nocturnus he had been told of the problems and possible suspects. Searching for the people pointed out as replicants by the Inquisitor will be his highest Priority now.

Its still possible for him to be called back to Restuss if the conflict grows once again.

Ok, Hashum has been getting bits and pieces from just about everyone. But he believes the Replicants are created by contaminated Bacta Tanks, however some of the information he’s received leads him to believe the process maybe evolving (don’t remember exactly what was said but something got me to thinking that).

He’s also heard that there are possibly more than 40,000 Replicants already in the Outer Rim and that we have one of them in holding in Nocturnus. Cymrych the head of NocSec has requested a meeting based on some of the information the captive released about their plans to target or eliminate “the gifted” (can’t remember if he knows this IC will have to double check the transmission).

Isleh and Batak mentioned that there maybe some kind of supply problem within the Replicant suppy-chain (Maybe this is why the tanks Serek checked appeared clean?).

Given the limited yet disturbing information Hashum agreed to meet with Cymrych hoping to fill in some of the missing pieces and make any arrangements that might be necessary to ensure the safety of the Academy.

That is further compounded by the fact that the Inquisitor seems to be taking a keen interest in the Academy and has already started applying pressure to those in Nocturnus for it’s exact location. They seem to know that it’s located on Dantooine but little more than that. Luckily they have no names and do not know how many students attend.

The recent news of Shensen and Serek being Replicant’s only further concerns him. They both know the location of the Academy and must be dealt with before the Empire finds them. To him the fact that Shensen was recently possessed by ghosts of the past which contributed to his evil behavior and now learning of the new Replicant inside him (not sure if that’s the proper way to say it) he’s not sure what to think about his recent “good” behavior, is that attributed to the Replicant?

Because of this he’s started making arrangements to apprehend Serek and Shensen before the Empire does, as well as securing a new safe location for the students should a hasty evacuation be needed.

The Kiva is convinced that others are now actively working on the Replicant problem. Shensen told her to fill Isleh-lin in on everything, so she is trying to do just that.

She still doesn't know if Orlad should be trusted, since she "knows" that he will turn traitor. (When she first met Orlad 6 months ago, a voice inside her head, but obviously from an outside source, told her that he would one day turn on her.) She was relieved that Shensen came to fetch her from her meeting with Orlad, but suspected that it might have cost him by taking him away from some other task that he needed to be attending to.

The Kiva is now looking at other things that she should have been attending to. Her highest priority, other than staying out of cloners, is to talk with Chianna.

Then she wants to get back to Fierith. She is worried that he will be killed, either by the Replicants or by others (notably witchhunters or Imperials) who want to keep him quiet. She believes that Fierith has no real desire to continue with The Plan, but is compelled to. She wants to try to save Fierith from the coming holocaust, but believes that it will take much more than a simple trip to the cloner.

After that, it is to get back to the E-bo kidnapping. It has been recommended to her, by two different sources, that she speak to the Inquisitor about Griven. However, due to her loss of self-confidence, she does not feel capable of fencing with a man so much her superior in political accumen. Nyvveck's demonstration of crowd control at the Schola has reinforced Shensen's warning about how dangerous the Inquisitor is.

I suspect after this evening you won't be searching for E-bo anymore.

Anyway I haven't been able to do a lot with this. But E-bo did know prior to Jabe being killed that he was a replicant. She was hoping to get another audience with him and find out more information. He was giving her some threads when they last spoke but... he's dead now. So scratch that avenue. I don't know what she is going to think about that when she hears about it. I guess we will all find out together.

Cymrych is reaching the paranoia and frustration that everyone else seems to have. I thought I could stay away from that, but it has become more and more clouded as to who is a replicant and who is not. Cymrych feels he has all the keys to unlock this in front of him. Arranging them in the correct order is what he is having trouble with.

Cymrych knows of the replication “process” of becoming a replicant in going through a cloning facility. He is not aware of the tests being run on cloning facilities to verify them as clean.

Cymrych has a verbal agreement with Nyvveck thinking he was not a replicant. Why would Nyvveck hand over the only known replicant to me for questioning if he was one himself? Why would he torture another replicant for information? If he was a replicant he must have known what info Feirith would give me, but I feel as if got more than what Nyvveck seemed to know. When I met with Nyvveck and informed him that the replicants seek to replicate those with “the gift” he seemed excited to learn this. If he had known this, why would he be excited that they seek those that he seeks? If the replicants do not feel pain from the host body then the torture was a cover-up. Was Nyveecks torture a legitimate attempt to get him to talk? Now the Imperial office has released a transmission that Shensen and Serek are replicants and they are hereby wanted. Nyvveck did not offer notice of this knowledge to Cymrych before it went public, nor has he sent Cymrych proof of how they were confirmed as replicants. Cymrych is loosing faith in Nyvveck’s agreement. Nyvveck is not offering anything to Cymrych and this is leading to some anger.

Cymrych thought he could trust the Kiva. He is now teetering on the line as his trust has dwindled. Cymrych sees the Kiva as a high priority target since she is the leader of the Temple, the place where the last replicant masters were known to be. He feels that the replicants are going to do everything they can to gain control of the Temple again. The Kiva would play a huge roll in this. She has been seen with Shensen and Serek and accused by her own congregation as being a little crazy. Are Shensen and Serek in fact replicants, and the Kiva as well? Cymrych met with the Kiva a few weeks back and they both confided neither had been in or near a cloner in a long time. He thus thought there was no way she was a replicant. Had she been “processed” since their meeting? Cymrych keeps the line of communication with the Kiva open but he does not take everything she says as truth until verified.

With the disappearance of Cryil, Cymrych has been placed as the Head of Noc/Sec. Cymrych has still not been contacted by any members of Noc/Sec for a briefing and possible assignment. I am trying to schedule a meeting for those that are members or interested in being such, but have not had time with the replicant investigation.

Cymrych has an upcoming meeting with the Jedi to warn them of the replicants seeking to replicate those with “the gift.” He is unsure of how the meeting will go and hopes that by watching demeanor he can pick up on a lead that one or more Jedi have already been replicated. He knows accusing them outright of this will create an outrage so he is looking at how to question those he might feel are replicants. He is worried about what would happen if the replicants “process” multiple Jedi. He wants to protect them at all costs. The risks of this meeting are extremely high, and he wonders of the payoff will be worth it. Can he entice a replicated Jedi to come after him and lay a trap?

Cymrych has begun to think he has gathered enough information and is inching closer to that one break in the case that will lead him to a solution. Thus he has made himself a threat and target for replication and must now take extra precautions to make sure that does not happen. He has checked an off planet cloning facility best he knows how, and offered his DNA coding there should he need to be cloned. He hopes that this out of the way location has not been compromised.

Then we have Feirith. I know I can gather more info from him I just do not know the questions to ask, that “unlock” him so to speak so he will answer. How can I use Feirith to may advantage? He claims he can not tell who else is a replicant, although I believe this is a lie. Can I find a way to break the communication between him and the hive? Can I replicate that communication and send my own signal to the hive? The voice that is the master, how can I find him? The voice is loudest on Lok so I know he is near.

Cymrych wishes to capture another live replicant and bring them to speak with Feirith face to face. He has yet to determine how to tell who is a replicant and who is not. Those not accused of being replicants seek to cleanse those that are and Cymrych feels that killing them may cleanse them, but he may be able to get more from not cleansing them. How could he convince the citizens he needed to capture a replicant alive? How can he determine who is and who is not a replicant in order to target one for capture? Who can he trust to help him capture a replicant once he determines one?

Cymrych has placed NRC on lockdown. Anyone wishing to speak with Feirith must have permission from Cymrych before they can enter. Cymrych hasn’t had the opportunity to share the pass code to the doors with his men yet.

Well, Serek is pretty much out of any RP for the moment. The Empire is hunting him, the Jedi are hunting him, and most the people in Noc that know him would probably attack on sight. So his options are kinda narrow.

So he'll be RP'ing hiding in his house for awhile.

E-bo was rescued tonight. More accuratly, found.

She has the theory that Griven was working for the replicants or knows more. Not everyone that is allied to the replicants needs to be a replicant and just because someone isn't one, does not rule out the possibility of them being allies.

She knows that E-bo can sense replicants in a way. Isleh wonders if E-bo is a replicant and E-bo does the same.

E-bo was also distraught with the news that Jabe had been cleansed. The replicant Jabe had a clear connection to the hive mind and knew who the Master was.

The Kiva went to the peculiarly transmitted coordinates on Lok. They were at the base of a volcano that reminded her that Jabe had killed Coiyonite on a volcano. She met Tsarg there.

As the Kiva started to explain to Tsarg what she knew/thought she knew about the Replicants, she received a transmission from Fierith stating he had found a comm, was being tortured and he would terminate. In a sweat to save this particular Replicant, she convinced Tsarg to accompany her to NRC headquarters. She also sent a comm message to Serek. (Shensen wasn't ingame yet)

At NRC, the building was locked, Cymrych came out in full armor, spoke to her as if he had never met her. Her suspicions fully aroused, she decided to not enter the building just yet. She and Tsarg retired, but not far. She received a transmission from Cymrych inviting her to come in alone. She sent a call for reinforcements to Shensen and told him that she believed that there was a 90% chance that Cymrych had been turned.

She explained to Tsarg that she intended to go into NRC, a move that both believed was walking into a trap. When Shensen arrived, she asked him to kill her when she came out. He agreed.

As she was on the threshhold, one foot inside the building, she got a transmission from Fierith stating he was terminating. Shortly after that, she received another transmission from him stating that he had moved to another body, that he was sorry but that he was going to have to proceed with the war. He had no choice.

She invited Cymrych to come with her and see how to cure a replicant. She led him to Tsarg and Shensen, where Shensen killed her. ((I had 6 choices of where to clone, on a whim I chose the Imperial outpost thinking I would end up on Dant...it was on Lok. As I left, I heard Jabe say "...not again."))

She returned to Nocturnus where she met up with Shensen, Tsarg, Cymrych and Caelen, all of whom seemed to be on good terms. We went inside NRC and began a powwow.

((At this point, my computer went from somewhat nuts to completely insane. I missed most of the discussion. That will have to be reported by someone else.))

E-bo really has no idea what is going on. She knows she's been gone for a few days and is recovering in a place that she feels comfortable. It was the only place she could think of when Isleh said she needed to find a safe place. As far as how she got back on lok, other than the escape pod and a memory of a brief struggle on the ship she was being taken away in, she is clueless about what transpired. Her body did have the appearance of being out in the middle of nowhere on Lok for several days.

She is not sure why she was taken and doesn't know that her captors had anything to do with the replicants, but couldn't rule it out when questioned by Isleh.
