Yeah. That was the deal. Same thing that happened with E-bo. Not sure about the others. _________________ "Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth." - Albert Einstein

Okay...
From what I recall, a replicant is created from a cloner that has been corrupted.
Normal cloners have safeguards that prevent genetic drift.
Corrupted cloners introduce a change in the DNA that makes a replicant, a replicant.
Therefore, If a person can compare an old archived copy of their DNA with a recent sample, then can tell if someone is a replicant. Correct? |

So, if person A was in contact with person B, then B is cloned into a replicant, and person A did not have any contact with B recently ... if A provides a DNA sample to a bountyhunter, B cannot get tracked (or it would be very difficult to confirm the identity).
Unless if a DNA sample was collected after replicant B came from the cloner.

I think..
The differance is small enough, that for a bio sample and tracking it would be the same.
i.e.. Kinda like a fingerprint. The entire print isn't matched, just certain key points and that is what is used to say a print matches.
Only by examining the complete DNA, in full, and comparing it to a clean record, can someone be found out as being a replicant.
At least, that is what I think it is. Until we get something official... *shrug* |

Expect this event to move a bit slowly over the next 10 days. There is new information that has been released out and I will continue to make sure more info gets out there. I don't know if the existing info has been shared yet (it seems like all the GM's in the event have RL stuff going on).
At any rate my wife had our first baby on Friday and I've been a but busy. I jsut got home today as a matter of fact. So I may not be around for a short time, but rest assured things will continue to move forward.

Just to keep the thread tidy...
Congrats to Jabe's addition Post here:
Yay!!
I'm a little curious on the Replicant info since we've got at least three different sources working on identifying how ya can detect one.
Isy and I may have done a fluke test on hers stating I didn't feel her presense in the Force like I normally would. _________________
