Haven't been in game a long time myself. As far as I can tell they keep trying to do things but expectations are not meeting what they're putting out in game. Gorath is suppose to really be a ghost server now aside from the German Community. Yet no apparent FCTs for the server yet. Kind of stupid management there at this point.
Also, I keep hearing they're adding a slew of "goody" items in via CCG lottery rather than put it in game directly so... yet again making poor choices there. Well, as far as garnering any real loyalty points to their long term fan base. For the CCG junkies... they're loving it because it means a monopoly on credits with the bought cards. Should've left it at just a couple loot items and most of that stuff going directly into game or made loot cards actually lootable in game. At this point it is really hard to put all the blame on SOE though for me. With how LA is being so fully supportive of the Bioware project you know they could've bailed this game out at any time they truly wanted to. Right now I'm just waiting on a new mmo to come out to jump back into a community again myself. Probably won't be until Gorath gets FCTs, STO, or SW:TOR finally comes out though. |

I've been playing a little bit during the free month and yeah, Gorath is dead. Perhaps there's still a big German community, but so far I've seen maybe three people in Coronet, and that's it.
SWTOR looks great. I can't wait for that game. I'm also looking forward to Champions Online... Can't wait for that, either. I've been playing a bunch of beta MMOs-- Fallen Earth, CrimeCraft, Dragonica, WolfTeam and some others-- so those have been keeping me entertained... |
