New RP?Hey guys, this is Azinax, just thought I'd ask before I set something up myself if anyone wants to help me start a bi-monthly event in Liberty, since the war in Restuss a lot of people are out fighting but Liberty has become quite the popular place again. Our cantina is always ready and so are we, let me know.... Hope to see you guys around

I am a Rebel but had to vote for the Imperials. They seem to do well even in small groups. It seems the Rebel's crumble easily unless they can swarm. But that's just been my experience.

Added another option for those that feel torn between the l33t in both factions lol.

I choose option C because there are asshats in both factions.
Look forward to a new event though.

I know that in the CU, when I was activly PvPing, I saw many more instances of valourous activity on the side of the Imperials. We would not gather around the rebels as they went overt (we'd stick to the other side of the town), wouldn't kill them as they loaded in, and most of the higher ranking members of the guilds kept trash talking to a minium (of course, if none of these high ranking guys were there, trash talking was thrown about).
It seemed to me that the Imperials were PvPing for the fun of the fight, while the rebels were PvPing for the ability to brag about how good they were at PvP.
Of course, this isn't to say that all rebels are bad or all Imperials are good. I had great respect for Dekel, he was a pretty good PvP'er and seemed to have a fair amount of honor (he almost tempted me into joining GHOST when the NGE first hit, but I just couldn't drop Imperial).

Tch... Imperials, duh.

Safia

I had to vote Imperial also even thought atm Safia is Rebel.
Safia was Imperial to start and I found more honor amoung them than I do the rebels.
That is not counting those in our community. They are the exception.

I've got to pencil in "The Germans". But, I guess, since most of the Germans I know play Imperial, I guess the Imperials have it.

hear, hear !
(if you ever come to visit germany, i'll have a weissbier for ya)
but from my experience this is a gorath-phenomenon, from my time on farstar i learned that most of the german community there (and there is/was a huge one) is with the rebs.
of course I voted for Imperial

Same as most. I'm rebel but voted for the Imps. They need more valor since the numbers are usually against them.
I was in Restuss one night, and there were probably about 30 Rebels standing around waiting for a spawn. A group of 10-12 Imperials came at them (I was watching on my overhead map). As soon as the 30 Rebels saw them, I saw all 30 rebels get on thier speeders and scatter like cockroaches. I never felt so ashamed of being a Rebel. I ran into the group and attacked and pretty much got pwnd.
"Better to die on your feet, then live on your knees"...apparently those rebels didn't agree, lol

That is truly pathetic.

What can i say i hardly believe 30 people would run from 12 and that is now what i have seen so far in Restuss. Maybe you are just exagerating or maybe you are the only man with guts around (im sure we can arrange a medal for you??), maybe they all went for dinner. In any case i voted for the imperials since they put more tactics into the fights and they are far more organized than the rebels.
Cheers.

Combining these 3 points, it's feasible that those "30 Rebels" were working on quests and not all high CL PVPers. Even if only a portion of them were just there for questing, simply seeing someone else run causes a person to reevaluate the situation. "Maybe he knows something I don't"
Call it valorous or bravery or whatever you want, there's always more than what you see.
Iago lost 2 vehicles in Restuss, yesterday and was killed once. The 2nd vehicle was taken down by some guys from Liberty by accident, and I knew it was my fault for being there in the first place. They apologized profusely. Don't try to skirt the edge of Restuss as a CL1.
Both sides have their more honorable players and their UberL33tD00ds. I've a theory that the ratio of honor to tool is based on overall faction population.

Your right Iago.
Thats pretty much what I think it was. The large group we'll say of 20-30 Rebels to be fair, were all waiting for the Imp Admiral to spawn for one of the missions. I expect they weren't stong PvP'ers and thats why they took off. Thats fine with me, just puts a lot of us in a bad spot when we realize that half of our force isn't willing to defend the city. Kinda hangs us out to dry.
I have noticed that the Imperials do seem to have better tactics, and as a whole seem to be more skilled as individual PvP'ers and rely less on strength of numbers. Probably cause the numbers are usually against them.

Ya there has been times where I have gone in with a group of 2 or 3 others and been able to work our way into the city. The Rebels do seem to be less organized, as well they have a large grinding force there that doesn't want to fight.

Maybe some Rebels need to pay attention to the head-count on viable combatants, rather than count dots, when in Restuss. *shrug* I figure it's a problem for both sides, at random intervals. Kinda chance rearing it's ugly head and beating down any strategy your side may have devised.
Eh, either way, I'm a dumb CL1 that needs to sober up when drivin' his landspeeder. *grin*
