"Where to now, big C?" Lock asked from behind the thick metal door. Caelen paused to think, halfway through changing out of his old prison clothing.
"I'll suppose we'll head back to Naboo, if it's still safe for us there." Caelen responded, his voice echoing off the metal walls of the small bathroom. "But whatever we do, we've got to get the hell out of here and fast. The Empire isn't going to give us a head start." He finished speaking just as the black jacket slid into place over his shoulders.
The bathroom door gave a quiet swoosh sound as it slid back into the wall, and the beeping of the Dathomir medial facility's computers took the place of the bathroom's silence.
Caelen grinned as he looked to the faces of his rescuers. Lock, and Eugeha. He was still having trouble believing that they had actually mounted a successful rescue operation from the Imperial Prison with just the two of them. Just goes to show what a good improvised explosive device can do.
It was Eugeha that spoke up first, his tone solemn. "So what are we gonna do now? We did good back at the Prison, but that's hardly the heart of the Empire. We've been cut off from the rest of the Rebellion for months. I'm starting to have doubts that they still exist. I mean--"
Lock interrupted him. "Of course the Rebellion still exists! It'll exist as long as democracy still stands within the galaxy! We just need to find them."
"All right guys, look," Caelen started. "We are going to get in touch with the Rebellion, and we're going to repair our numbers. Sanctuary still lives on, and I'm not about to let the Empire get us down. Okay? Now let's move out." He could see the slight smiles play across his friends faces as he walked by them and out of the medical facility.
Outside, it was dark and silent. The three of them moved quickly to the hangar bay where Eugeha's ship awaited them. Once inside and strapped in, Lock broke the silence. "Hey, C... How are we going to contact the other Rebellion members? It's been pretty silent for months now."
Caelen thought for a moment. "I guess I'll just have to send up a flag, and see if anyone friendly sees it." |

Three days of travel had brought Caelen, Eugeha, and Lock to Keren, Naboo. After Eugeha had made sure that the surroundings were safe, Caelen left the ship and made his way to the terminal.
"News terminals, news terminals, where are the--aha!" Caelen briskly made his way to a news terminal in the starport, and motioned Lock over. "Lock, can you crack into this system?" He whispered, afraid that anyone passing by could be an Imperial spy.
Lock gave the terminal a once over, and nodded to signify that he could. Racing back to the ship, he recovered some gear and took it back to the news terminal where Caelen and Eugeha awaited. "What are you gonna do, C?" Lock asked quietly.
Caelen turned away from the passing crowds and whispered back to his friend, "Don't worry. Just get me in so that I can post something." With that, Lock nodded and went to work.
Within a matter of minutes, Caelen was typing away at the news terminal and adding his very own news report.
