Winter Community Summit - March 2008

Greetings everyone! I atttended an SOE Community Summit in San Diego from March 6th through March 8th 2008. This was an SOE sponsored event where regular players and SOE Community Team meet up and discussed games.

Thursday, March 6th. I arrived at the W Hotel and settle in.

The Community team welcomed us at a reception at the W Hotel located at Karma. There were food and Rock Band video game. The lady on the far right is EM (EMpulse) Stock, Senior Community Manager in Austin, Texas.

Friday, March 7th. We arrive at the Whale Watching Destination.

Breakfast and lunch was served on the boat.

We saw sea lions, dolphins and a grey whale.

After whale watching I took a nap and then attended an afternoon mixer with the Dev team at the Beach Bar on the rooftop.

We then headed to Dick's Last Resort for dinner.

Saturday, March 8th. We had breakfast located at the Viranda.

After breakfast we had a general session where the Community Team lead presentations, discussions and live demos. Due to NDA, I'm not allowed to talk about the discussions. The guy on the far left is Alan (Bixiebopper) Crosby.

At night we attended a private function at the Beach Bar at the W Hotel. There was a live band, coktails and refreshments.

Sunday, March 9th. I headed back to Los Angeles.

I'm somewhat eager to see what happens with that Agency game they've been talking about as well. Nice to see an actual advertisement stand up for it in there. smile
