Folks,

As was decided in the last meeting, we hold be holding a weekly meeting to discuss issues that have come up in the community. This meeting will be limited to 1 hour and any discussion that is not finished in the one hour time block will be tabled until the next meeting.

So the question to the guild leaders and concerned citizens of the community, what day and time works best for you? What days are not options for you? Please give reasons on why or why not any given days will or will not work please.

Thursdays are my time with Shoro. I'd rather not meet during that time, but I could negotiate a change of Shoro day...maybe. I'm open for all other days.

May I suggest, Saturday or Monday?

/points to Kreetles schedule.

The only real reason I keep playing SWG is because of the band.
My decsion to come back after this last absence, and my current one, is strictly based on how much I enjoy being with the band.

Since the meeting is being limited to an hour, it shouldn't be hard to schedule it around Kreetles gigs and other events can be added without much likelyhood of an overlap, as well.

Planning it just prior to a Kreetles gig might get more people to attend and result in more fun for everyone, as well.

That may be true, but you know, just as well as I do, that nothing like this can be done in an hour.
It's all well and good to say it will be, but nothing ever goes as planned.

Never hurts to be optimistic. If we take the Murphy view, we would never do anything.

Nuri did a good job of closin' up shop, just after the gig started. I suspect it'll end around that time, henceforth.

The meetings will shut down one hour after the official start time. Anything left to discuss will be put on the next week's agenda. If people want to keep going after an hour, it will "off the record" so to speak.

I have absolutely no problem sticking to the rule we decided limiting it to one hour and will be a jerk if need be to maintain this rule. If we aren't going to enforce something then what was the point in voting on it? smile

Yay, Nuri! And off the record sounds good, too.

Haven't had a lot of feedback from all of the guild leaders here.

Throwing out an idea for this week.

If we hold it Wednesday just before the Schola, would that work for people? The Schola starts at 10 EST and we could hold the council meeting at 9.

Since the Schola is held very close to where the council meeting is, there shouldn't be an issue with people being late because they had to travel.

Another option would be on Tuesdays just prior to the Ryloth, but it's short notice for this week and a number of the people performing at the Ryloth had to leave early to get ready last time.

Basically just floating an idea for this week. Wed at 9 PM EST. Let's hear what people think.

Speaking for AVANT, Wednesday would work better for me to be able to represent the guild. If, however, Esh'elon and/or Nurian can represent AVANT, then Tuesday is just fine. I only have two more mandatory class meetings (today and next Tue), so after that Tuesdays are not a problem for me.

Either is fine for me. For the reason you stated above, Nuri, Wednesday sounds better. However, Novall has a patrol scheduled this week for that time.

This wednesday is bad for me because it's the last Nocturnus patrol and the ending scene for the arc. We have guild events almost nightly, but I usually have enough people on to run those without me being there =D Any day but Wednesday is good.

You are ending this arc tonight? A battle or anything NRC needs to be a part of planned? I do not think I can make it tonight, but might be able to get some guys there. frown I was on last night and will be on Thursday for my guild training run.

If the arc is ending is there still a need for the meetings? Or are the meetings going to cover any arc that is currently ongoing?

I think the meetings are to cover any problems currently going and to keep us on the same page, generally. I think that we will eventually get down to one meeting a month or every two weeks. Some of the things that we agonize over in the forums for days and weeks can be solved by 10 or 15 minutes of sane talk, OOC, and a vote.
