I. The Basics

Where in the real life world do you live? New England...for now.

What type of work do you do? I'm a practicing artist.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing MMO’s? Rebuilding the house we live in.

How long have you played MMO’s? about 34 months

What is the main MMO you play? SWG

How long is your typical gaming session? 5-6 hours, and yes, I'm an addict

What does a typical gaming day consist of for you? Answering mail and /tells, roleplaying, chatting

II. Your Main Character

What is your highest character level in your game of choice? cl 90

How did you choose your main character's name? It is a knockoff of my Sunrunner character's name. "It" wouldn't let me use Xenya, so I played with the letters until "it" ok'd my choice.

What race and profession is your main character? Twi'lek...Medic

What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? It fits the character concept for Xyryn.
What faction is your main character? Neutral all the way.

III. Most/Least Favorites in SWG

What is your favorite player-owned ship? Why? Don't have a fav.

What is your favorite ground vehicle? Why? hmm, that's tough. For the Kiva, I like the AV-21. For Xen'ya, I like the speederbike. As for why? Well, they are fast enough and they tilt...when they should.

What is your favorite expansion? Why? I've enjoyed both Kashyyyk and Mustafar. Space is beautiful. Why do I have to choose?

What is your favorite planet? Why? Depends on my mood and what color I am.

Who is your favorite NPC? Why? Don't have one.

Which expansion do you like the least? Why? See above.

Which planet do you like the least? Why? Whichever planet is the most crowded.

What was your favorite Star Wars movie? Why? The first one, Ep.4. I liked the visuals in that one the best, and the humor. That bit where Solo shot the phone...and Luke watching the suns...and the nasty personality of the Princess.

Who was your favorite character? Why? R2D2. He had a nicely jaundiced view of things. After that, Calrisian...he was a realist. After those two, Darth Maul...he was sexy.

Who was your least favorite character? Why? Count Dooku, he was too old for the part...he used to be a really good swordsman IRL, and his fighting this time was pathetic.

What are the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? Maybe as much as 400,000, but probably lower.

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so, what is it and why do you keep it? Not nostalgia, purpose. I might want to respec, so I keep all my weapons which aren't duplicates.

Describe your favorite period of Star Wars: Galaxies (Pre-CU, CU, NGE, etc.) and what you liked the most about it. I like most whatever period I am currently in. Wishing for the return of the past, or yearning for the future, takes the joy out of life.

IV. Roleplay and MMO’s

What game brought you to Role Playing (RP)? The Society for Creative Anachronism. I was born into it.

Have you played tabletop RP games before moving to MMO’s? If so, which ones? D&D, 3 of the White Wolf games, Battletech.

What other MMO’s have you played? Vanguard, EQ2, and dipped my toe into Second Life...I don't like shopping, so I didn't stay.

What do you get out of playing your MMO of choice? Community

How did you get into Roleplaying? Was born into it. See above.

How would you “sell” roleplaying to someone that has never tried it before? What are the benefits? Trying out different personalities, learning how people react to situations...learning how you react to situations.

What was your favorite event or story arc? I have favorite instances out of each arc. This question is comparing apples and oranges. Can't do it.

How long have you been an RP’er? lol, since I was born. See above.

What do you like best about RP’ing? Playing. Twisted Evil

What type of RP ‘role’ do you prefer portraying with your character? Which ever one I am currently in.

What kind of RP story arc would you most like to be a part of? All of them, except maybe one that is all about becoming a slave...

What would you like to see more of when doing RP? People staying incharacter, not stopping to ((whine)) or ((complain)).

Which other community member do you like to RP with the most? Why? Hmm, that's a toughie...the why is easiest: They use their heads, they don't have to ask you if you will go along with this or that, they push to the edges of acceptability but don't go over that edge, they tell you what's happening or going to happen IN their roleplay, and they do it well.

Examples of this are: Shensen, Nyvveck, Novall.

Do you have any ideas for future RP story arcs that you would share? Wish I did, but I'm a lousy plot developer.

Describe your best RP experience from playing Star Wars: Galaxies? /boggle. You're kidding, right? Hmmm, I might have to say it was probably the day Shensen killed himself. But that is the one that I think of today. I might say a different one tomorrow or yesterday.

If you could give a new player one bit of advice based on your game experiences, what would it be? Don't get married. That's a sure way to guarantee that someone is going to leave the game.
