Name: Shu Wildi
Race: Human (Corellian)
Time: PST
IGT: When is he not online?
Background:
Corellian born, Shu began his life deep in the grass fields beyond Coronet. He grew up with his Mother and father, and his brother and sister. In his youth him and his brother would be quite mischievous, Shu was the youngest in the group and easily followed after the others. His sister who was the oldest of them all had become more of a role model, but his brother to him was like a god in itself. Shu wished to grow up and be more like his brother; it seemed to him that he could do anything he wanted in life.
Azimi Wildi was his name; he was quite the athletic child and easily took home trophies with promise. He made his parents very proud, well at least until he became a little older. During his teenage years he started to become cocky, so cocky that he used to beat up kids for no reason while in school. His grades began to fail at the academy he'd made it into; he eventually was kicked out for lude and unjust behavior. This upset his parents and his sister, who had become more of a working woman for the family.
Shu however had been chosen to move out to the academy on Naboo, he was handpicked for the classes due to his grades. His brother obviously became jealous at this in his own downfall; his anger began to get the best of him. One day he outright attacked Shu at the dinner table, he threw him across the table for saying a minor insult like "You sithface." In a pure bout of rage he took a blade and slashed across Shu's arm, this sent his father into a panic as he took down his own son. The patrols showed up later to take away Azimi, his anger was unbridled as he stared at his father. He spoke with a rich anger as they placed him inside the speeder, "You've betrayed me.... your own flesh and blood." With those words they hauled him off to a prisoner reform for young men.
Many years passed since that incident; Shu finished his teachings with the academy and was granted his diploma. Yet on his graduation day he'd learn one of the worst things anyone could hear, he was approached by one of his teachers who whispered into his ear. He immediately broke out into tears as he jumped off the stage, he ran as fast as he could his tears never stopping as they ran down his cheeks. He couldn't believe what he just heard, he was breathing so hard he could barely hear himself thinking. He bought the earliest ticket he could for his return to Corellia, and boarded the shuttle without second guessing himself.
The taxi roared up to the burned down remnants of the old home, the door whirred open as Shu clambered out and dropped to his knees. He immediately began to cry to himself, he fell flat across the grass curling up as he let out a wailing scream. The taxi driver was distraught himself, but he knew the fare had ended for him. He dropped his condolences and tore off back towards the city. Shu however did not move from his position, he just remained in the grass crying until nightfall. And under the gleaming stars he sat in the ruined hallway of his home, he heard a crackle and reached under his belt for the pistol he purchased.
A man wrapped in a cloak stood at the edge of the hallway, Shu whipped his weapon out as he stood up slowly. The man slowly removed his hood from his face as he looked solemnly at his brother. Shu's eyes widened as he saw Azimi's face, he dropped his pistol on the ground as he fell to his knees once more. "They... they killed them..." he said this to Azimi with a broken heart. Azimi simply walked across the soot covered ground, moving to his brother as he lightly hugged him. He spoke into Shu's ear with the softest of whispers... "Who is they? Cause the only person that they betrayed was me... so I killed them all and I'll kill you next."
Shu pushed Azimi off of him as he looked at his face with disbelief, Azimi however stood up removing the cloak from his body. He had a cylinder object in his hand that Shu couldn't recognize; he reached down for the pistol as he watched the glowing blade come rushing out. Shu jerked his hand back as the pistol was slashed in half by the Lightsaber, he stood up and backed away from Azimi who twirled the Lightsaber at his side. He spoke in a rich dark tone to Shu, "Why did you allow it? You could have said something.... that slash I gave you was child's play compared to what comes next!"
Azimi whipped the Lightsaber at Shu, who ducked under it before diving out of one of the ruined windows. He landed on the grass outside before seeing his brother leap out right behind him. Shu looked around frantically as the red tinged saber got closer to him; he took a rock and chucked it at his brother’s head as hard as possible. Azimi's reflexes were off it seemed, as he was only able to catch the side of the rock, as the other piece broke off and clocked him in the head. Seeing this opportunity Shu dashed towards Azimi, he took him by the wrist as they both struggled to keep the lightsaber away from their bodies. Azimi spoke with a ferocity, his anger was apparent in his lowered eyes "How dare you not let me take my revenge..."
Shu's eyes began to water as he took the Lightsaber and twisted it downwards, he jammed the red blade into his brothers stomach watching his face twist in shock. He backed up startled by his own actions as he watched the lightsaber fall from the hole inside Azimi. Azimi smiled as he looked at his own misfortune, "Ahh... so I wasn't a Jedi after all..." he coughed as he fell backwards on the grass. His eyes strained to close but they were forced open once more, they looked coldly to the air as Azimi faded off from the world. Shu stood up and walked over to his brother, he looked down at him realizing what he'd just done. He killed the only remaining piece of his family, what could only have been retribution had become even more pain.
He buried his brother out in the same valley as his home, and he destroyed the lightsaber that caused all the trouble. He left his old home behind and forced himself into searching for a new meaning, he couldn't live like he was now... so he had to look for more. Yet what he found himself doing was delving into seedier things, he took on jobs gun slinging as a "Protector" for people. Yet killing people randomly tends to toll on the head after awhile, at least for those that aren't clinically insane. So he chose a better place to serve, he began working missions for the rebellion and pushing against the Imperials.
During a mission however, he was left for dead after being caught for many misdeeds against the empire. He looked up at the sun in which he'd been left in, his armor was tattered and worse for wear. He looked up as a man stood over him; he was well muscled and seemed oddly calm. He placed a palm on Shu's head slightly, and bowed to him as the darkness spilled over his eyes. This man saved his life, he revived him and gave him a place to hide out from the imperials. In a lone cave he began to teach him the ways of the Teras Kasi, yet he told him that if he was going to use it... he could only use it in defense of himself.
At first he did not understand the training that the man provided to him, but he quickly began to grasp the meaning of the art. He followed the rules and guidelines, and became a Master to teach many what he'd learned over time. He strengthened himself and returned to the world, yet this time the rebellion had even harsher missions for him to undertake. A series of imperial bases had to be taken down in a week, along with a large squadron of rebels they took down base after base. Imperials began to see through the deception, and they had a setup waiting for the next barrage.
A battle broke out that scorched the sky with blaster fire; the Alliance seemed to be taking the hits too hard. They were stuck inside the very base that they tried to shut down, it took hours to end the battle but it eventually it did. The rebels that were stuck inside the base died, only a few of them were able to get free without being eviscerated. Shu was one of those people, but it seemed the Empire had kept images tracked inside the base. There were wanted posters of rebels all over the place; many of them were caught the next day because of it. Shu only had one place to go, he returned to the cave where the Teras Kasi Master had taught him.
He was disappointed to find that the man had gone, but throughout it all he simply crouched down and began to meditate. He knew that he'd be there for a long time; there was no getting around the system of death that the empire set out. Yet inside that cave it seemed like voices were talking to him, year after year he'd learn something new. It seemed like an illusion but he trained himself hard regardless, he thought it was a higher peak of his Teras Kasi lessons. Yet it turned out to be much more than that, it seems that in his solitude he had become one with the force.
However he knew that someone was helping him, because he couldn't have been learning these skills out of the thin air. Then one day he noticed some items on the ground, a crystal and many other pieces. He remembered his training and began to slowly craft something; it seemed to come from the back of his mind easily. When he was done he noticed that it was a Lightsaber, he clicked it on as the voices poured into his head. Words were clearer and his training became more intense, in fact he started to see the imprints of what looked like blue ghosts.
Yet he was stuck in his own thoughts of insanity, maybe none of this was real. Just being in a cave for years and eating what someone delivers him was enough to go crazy. That's when it struck him as being odd... "What someone delivers him." He rushed outside as he looked up at the sky, his eyes focused on the sun and he quickly looked away. He looked down to his hand and noticed that there wasn’t a lightsaber, clenched his hand closed pondering his own sanity almost immediately. He blinked returning his eyes to the world around him, the trees, flowers, and even the grass seemed to have a vibrant life to them.
He looked back to the cave once more before he’d realized it again, someone was keeping him alive with food and clean clothes. He looked back to his hand thinking of how real the lightsaber felt in his hand, he lifted his palm upwards the lush flowers and weaves of grass blowing lightly backwards. He hadn’t been dreaming about the force, he’d actually seemed to be attuned with it. Everything became a hint of paranoia immediately; he had to find the person that was tampering with his mind… the flow of the force and the thoughts of him training to become a Jedi.
Thus he slid from his hiding place and started to take on the world again, this time he did it for the sake of helping others and finding his own path to the force. He had a power that was given to him; he had to learn more about it so that he could use it properly. He had taken on his own brother’s search, yet his was met with meaning instead of offering terror and vengeance.
Many years had passed since he’d taken on the ways of the force as his lifestyle, yet he’d ended up in that cave one last time. It seemed as if he’d be in there forever this time, the power and control of the force was something he couldn’t handle. Having almost torn though innocents from loss of control, he’d thrown himself into seclusion to perfect his feelings and the power associated with it. He became more primitive, only living to perfect his powers and his emotions that came with it. Yet this time there wasn’t anyone else to help him live, he’d move from the cave to hunt for his meals and sometimes pick up useful items.
On one of his trips he stumbled into a woman being shot at by Stormtroopers, his instincts kicked in and approached them without hesitation. The woman had come to a crossroads to either be saved by him, or to be shot to her demise by the armor clad villains. The decision was clear to him… his attacks left no mercy his lightsaber flying to remove the head of the first one. The second one turned in surprise as the lightsaber boomeranged into his chest and through it. The body slumped to the ground in half as Shu caught the hilt and silenced it with a hiss.
He slowly approached the woman who also raised her gun at him, his fingers flicked as the gun flew from her fingers and into a tree. He looked down at her with his extremely tall stature, his body shaded out by the sun that shined across his tattered Grey robes. His voice contained no sympathy “Leave.” He turned and began his stroll back to his destination, offering nothing else to her besides the uttered word. Almost out of spite she followed him beckoning to find out more about him, of course she knew of the slaughtering of Jedi that the Imperials had placed out… yet she herself was placed in a predicament where she was hunted.
He ripped his lightsaber out and turned sideways to point it at her, his eyes shaded out but his lips were clearly seen. “Don’t follow me.” She was stepped to the side of his lightsaber, she spoke her name and rank in the empire. And then she told him the reason why they wanted to kill her, he seemed less intent to make he leave after he realized she was trying to leave the empire. He clipped the lightsaber to his belt before making his way back into the cave, of course she followed but he didn’t make any qualms to it this time.
Over a few months they’d become accustomed to each other’s company, or more like she’d become accustomed to the way he lived. He did everything like a man who didn’t live in civilization, everything was simple and without problem. He wasn’t as talkative as her but he didn’t seem to have a problem with her having conversations about her previous life and the city. Though it seemed obvious that she wanted to return to at least some form of world that wasn’t the cave, and he knew he had to return to the side of the rebellion regardless of his training was completed or not.
He agreed to take her back to the city and protect her if she agreed to stay out of trouble with the empire, regardless of his hermit status he was still in need of friends… and at that moment she was his one and only friend. And with that he returned to his previous world, in hopes that he’d mastered his emotions and the containment of the dark powers that reside within him. |
