And the Saga Continues...
Already been dining on crow for a few days. Although I still don't remain all that excited about it right now. I'd still prefer another take on Classic Era or something set after Classic rather than go backwards.
Either way it'll be interesting to see if history repeats itself and we see many old faces "restart" in the new SW mmo. _________________

Here's hoping they don't screw it up. _________________ Forum guarded by Blast Cannons three days a week. Guess which days.

I think the MMO shows promise. I mean c'mon, the company's made some of the best story-driven games on the market the past few years, I really don't see how they can screw up at least that part of it.
While I too would prefer to see a GCW-based Star Wars game, as long as it's Star Wars I don't really care what era it's set in. All-in-all I'm excited about the game and can't wait to get into it.
While we're on the subject of MMOs, Earthrise is another sci-fi MMO that sounds pretty interesting. Though it's from some no-name company so I'm not holding out a lot of hope for it, but it has some interesting features... _________________

So far it is the "larger than life" WoW-ish avatar idea I'm not liking for it. As outdated as SWG's graphics engine is now I think they could use something similar and still create something a tad more "realistic" in comparison to SWG and still allow for current low end users to play the new game.
Warhammer turned out alright; but they still cut some stuff from Beta they should've left in. They also could've added a few features to it that make it a little less appealing to a social/rp crowd. But EA does seem to be learning from a past mistake with mmos. So, I'll cut them a little slack and say I need to wait and see what happens with it before I mow'em completely down with Batty's opwnion bat. At least until I see them push Bioware with a magic calendar date. Then I might start a "SWTOR is going to completely suck and here is why..." blog.
It's bioware though so you know it'll have some awesome quest/character development. _________________

The art department for SW:TOR wants to use some big head, little body, big hands sort of stuff basically. At least that is what some of the screen shots and discussions from the Dev end have put out so far with mixed results on the potential player end. So, while I'm sure most of it will have a feel of the past two Kotor games... the avatars sound like they'll look distinctly different. Not literally as cartoony as WoW; but same concept. _________________

I want to play Star Wars... I don't want to be Star Wars Bobbleheads.
Though the current screenshots don't really look like that. The characters in the screenshots look pretty neat. But maybe that's going to be changing... _________________

I wouldn't worry much about it yet, I've seen snippets elsewhere that said not to worry about that and the exceptionally large saber hilts as they will all likely be brought to scale once the finishing touches begin on the artwork and design. _________________ Forum guarded by Blast Cannons three days a week.
