I applied for the beta long ago. I am wondering what it takes to actualy get into it. I have beta tested several games and even wrote that down. How dose one get noticed?

You just pretty much have to wait it out. When the Devs want you, they'll invite you.
I've been waiting for an invite for a year now and haven't gotten one.  Hopefully having one of the Developer's cell phone number will help out with that... Mwha ha ha ha!
